(Yes. I know what you're thinking, but we did it first.)
Have you ever imagined what technology would look like without women's contributions? We did. It looked ridiculous.
Female inventors have created many features we all take for granted on our phones: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, the Call Button, the contact list, Caller ID, and even the microprocessor that every smart device and computer uses worldwide.
To highlight this fact on International Women's Day, StarHub—one of Singapore's biggest telcos—created a dysfunctional, funny-looking phone lacking women's contributions. This way, we could all imagine how basic and boring tech would be without women's touch and talent.
The Nobile phone was launched on TV and social media. And on International Women's Day, it was showcased as an actual device at StarHub's flagship stores, allowing people to interact with it and "experience firsthand" its lack of features.
